Mahdi is an Energy and Environmental Analyst at NESCAUM. He provides analytical services in support of air quality research and policymaking needs. Areas of focus include building emissions, biomass energy, and data analytics and visualization.

George is the Chief Scientist at NESCAUM involved with several aspects of the regional haze effort, coordination of the Monitoring and Assessment Committee, and support of the mobile source, public health, and air toxics programs.

Debjani is the Director of Finances, working closely with the Comptroller to produce monthly financial reports and year-end audit preparations.
Coralie Cooper

Coralie is the Deputy Director of NESCAUM. She brings to NESCAUM a background in motor vehicle emissions control technology and policy, and building energy efficiency. As Deputy Director, Coralie assists in overseeing day-to-day operations, represents NESCAUM and its member states in national forums, and coordinates aspects of NESCAUM’s mobile source program.

Jamie is a Senior Policy Advisor working on regulations and policies to advance transportation electrification. Prior to joining NESCAUM, he advised government, nonprofit, and private sector clients on a wide array of legal and policy matters.
Jeremy Hunt

Jeremy is a Policy Advisor & Analyst with NESCAUM. He brings to NESCAUM a background in state and regional climate change policymaking. Areas of focus include zero emission vehicle initiatives and clean transportation policy.
Alexandra Karambelas

Alex is an Environmental Analyst at NESCAUM. She provides air quality modeling and data analysis in support of air quality policymaking needs. Additional areas of focus include climate mitigation planning and clean transportation policy.

Reneé is the Office Manager and has been with NESCAUM for over 25 years. She oversees the administrative staff and assists the financial team as needed.
Sarah McKearnan

Sarah is a Senior Policy Advisor working on NESCAUM’s zero emission vehicle initiatives and initiatives to help states prepare for climate change with new resources and tools. She brings over twenty-five years of experience to NESCAUM as an environmental and climate policy professional in state and municipal government, having most recently served as the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources’ climate change advisor and coordinator of the state’s Climate Cabinet.
Paul Miller

Paul is the Executive Director of NESCAUM. He brings to NESCAUM a background in science and law that provides the organization with legal, technical, and policy support for all NESCAUM initiatives. As Executive Director, Paul oversees day-to-day operations; coordinates with the Board of Directors in planning the organization's activities; represents the member states in regional, national and international forums; and maintains liaisons with federal agencies, other regional organizations, industry, and the environmental community.
Barbara Morin

Barbara is an Environmental Analyst working on air toxics analysis and criteria air pollutant attainment planning. She supports special project needs among the NESCAUM states and provides a wealth of state-level experience from previous senior positions with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and Rhode Island Department of Health.
Elaine O'Grady

Elaine is a Policy and Program Director working on transportation, climate change, biomass, and emerging issues at NESCAUM, and provides NESCAUM with key state-level experience as the former state air director in Vermont.
Lisa Rector

Lisa is a Policy and Program Director at NESCAUM who works on both the technical and policy side of NESCAUM. Focus areas include Title V, NSR, Vapor Recovery, BART, residential wood burning, biomass emissions, and staff lead for the Compliance and Enforcement Committee, OWB workgroup, and Vapor Recovery workgroup.
Nora Traviss

Nora is a Senior Scientist working on NESCAUM’s wood heating effort. She also develops input into NESCAUM research plans, leads strategies to advance NESCAUM’s wood heat initiatives, and manages collaboration between internal and external partners. Dr. Traviss joins NESCAUM after working at Keene State College for almost 20 years. She has expertise in exposure assessment (indoor and outdoor air quality), including chemical and toxicological characterization of particles from combustion and other aerosol sources.
Jesse Way

Jesse is a Policy Advisor and Analyst with NESCAUM’s Clean Transportation Team. Jesse has worked on sustainability, clean energy, and vehicle electrification projects at Cadmus. At the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, Jesse provided technical assistance to metro Boston area municipalities that are developing climate action plans and deploying clean transportation strategies. Jesse holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University and a Master’s in Environmental Economics and Policy from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment.

Nate is an Intern and is currently a senior at Keene State College majoring in Environmental Studies. He will be working to support the woodstove research program at NESCAUM in many areas including data analysis/data validation, document reviews, and investigation of woodsmoke changeout programs implemented in the United States.
Joe Willson

Joe is an Intern and is currently a senior at Keene State College with a triple major in Safety and Occupational Health Sciences (SOHAS), Environmental Studies, and Sustainability Studies. He will be working to support the woodstove research program at NESCAUM in many areas including data analysis/data validation, document reviews, and investigation of woodsmoke changeout programs implemented in the United States.
